SIXTH SENZE_ROAD TO BIRNIN GWARI

Kroc City is arguably Nigeria’s hip hop capital and aside being a leading hub in Nigeria’s growing hip hop industry, the ancient city in recent times, has been in the news for the wrong reasons over rising issues of insecurity, kidnappings and wanton destruction of lives and properties just as experienced across some Northern states in Nigeria.

This song “Road to Birnin Gwari” by Sixth Senze is obviously inspired by real life events not fiction or fairytales as the Lyricists unapologetically bares his mind about the precarious security challenges average Nigerians face on daily basis and more notably along the treacherous road to Birnin Gwari a local government Area in Kaduna State and by extension it reflects a similar ill fate shared by the country at large.

The road to Birnin Gwari as the song title aptly fits, without mincing words has become synonymous with sad tales as countless number of Nigerians have lost their precious lives traversing through it. This song therefore is highly timely, it’s poignant, politically charging and relevant in the growing discussion of Nigeria’s worsening security situation today in the face of the current government’s inability to stem the ugly tide.

SixthSenze is one of the Duo of Kaduna’s hip hop band CATCH seeking to bring to the fore the plight of the people experiencing the worst carnage of man’s inhumanity against his fellow man in recent times and the need for an urgent redress that will guarantee justice for the victims and a call for the government to wake up to her responsibilities of ensuring lives are protected and the callous culprits killing and kidnapping our people are arrested and punished for their crimes.

“Road to Birnin Gwari” by SixthSenze is a single produced by Rasco off the rapper’s yet to be released solo album titled Poetic License.
