DAN NASARAWA_TERRY_THA_RAPMAN_ft_OZEE

T.R is no rookie and needs no intro in the Nigerian music industry because he is a seasoned veteran Emcee who has ‘refused’ to fade away from the scene. Each time T.R drops a new Joint you would be tempted to ask ‘who’s tha new intriguing kid on the block with a banging Jam and also possessing a familiar ‘‘Rapman’s’’ smooth voice delivery of mind gripping lyrics for fans and without a doubt menacing flows for naysayers?’

As you nod your head, listening to this new song Dan Nasarawa, your jaws will drop and your mind may wander briefly in disbelief how T.R succeeds in charming your mind to his timeless music in a deft manner that only he alone knows how to do best. I guess that’s a secret best kept to his heart but it’s obviously a propelling force that keeps him reinvigorating his style and maintaining his towering relevance in Nigeria’s mainstream music industry and at large.

Collaborating with another notable Artiste Ozee, T.R drops an anthem for his home state Nasarawa. ‘Dan Nasarawa’ is a song that exalts the love he has for his state of origin nevertheless T.R still proves ‘he’s got more bars than a prison cell’ his punches come in quick succession.

Ozee’s voice on the hook is quite impressive—extraordinarily alluring in the same breath. On this Song Dan Nasarawa, T.R once again proves he remains a force to reckon with as his music and style is full of unfading vigour. T.R continues to push his skills beyond average minds expectations of his lyrical capabilities. He’s outstanding in his class but yet unrelenting when it comes to making his ‘weight’ felt. This new work of his will most assuredly earn him more critical acclaim.

Succeeding the ‘Lafiya Zaaki’ single earlier released by T.R., this song ‘DAN NASARAWA’ featuring Ozee remains one of his best works yet. Thumbs up T.R.

I personally salute T.R’s creative steadfastness when it comes to meeting up to the expectations of his teeming and loyal fans.

Kindly Download this great song, share and spread it around like wildfire.

CAUGHT UP_KHARIS Prod. by SBK

Nigeria is no doubt blessed with galaxy of rappers, even the female category is not found wanting. Kharis is a Female Emcee from Ondo state, South West of Nigeria but yet a thoroughbred from conception straight out of Croc City, kaduna State, Nigeria’s acclaimed capital of emceeing. Her unique style and surging prowess in the art of rhyming and skilful delivery cannot be waved with a hand, little did I wonder SBK the veteran producer and rap artist sorted for her expertise on the vibrant street anthem song 'No Faking' which also featured CATCH, Therapy and KuL G of One Passion.

Kharis is a member of LXG (League of Xtraordinary Gift) which is a household name in the gospel circle of kaduna. On this inspirational song 'CAUGHT UP' Kharis vents out an ace off her selves. I had the privilege of interviewing her, in her own words! Everything about ‘caught up’ came from my dad...when he was alive he used to tell me that “no matter what you do in life...make sure you do it right and never forget the plan is to make heaven...it doesn't matter how people see you or what they think about you..Be good at heart and put God in whatever u do.”  But u see as time went on, I tried to live right, tried being a saint, but it wasn't working...the church didn't help either when I depended on them for holiness, they failed me but I turned to God and most assuredly He's been helping me though it’s not easy..And when people see me they just conclude am good and living right like am the holiest...But that's a big lie...I’m human too...I got flaws...

In her words she said “I’m just trying preach good undiluted sermons to people via music...And the same message am passing across is specially carved for me... I’m quite little but with my little stay on earth I have been through a lot, good, bad and ugly...times came when I had to fake it..But in the long run I just discovered there is no much deal to life...we all gonna die someday..So I just had to stop faking it, and focus on my art, following my heart, my music and my God...And strongly believe that I’m going to make heaven someday...Leaving behind the struggles to get there..

The song is dedicated to her dad she rightly stated. Now you heard it from the horse’s mouth Fam, the wisdom of Solomon has nothing to do with the age of Methuselah, that's exactly what Kharis depicted in this sensational song produced by SBK one of Naija’s veteran underground producer and rap Artist. Without any further ado kindly download this insightful and mind opening Gospel song “Caught up” coz Kharis’ delivery and word play on this song is off the meter, her rapid fast spitting technique has birthed a master piece.

Yours Truly, SixthSenze of CATCH reporting and please don't forget to drop a comment for Kharis to acknowledge your love and support for her music. she's a budding Talent with this song been her first single C'mon show her some love and share this Song with your friends and family.

NEEDED ME RIHANNA Feat T-REX (COVER)

T-Rex Dah Wordsmith has finally released his long awaited cover for Rihanna’s hit song ‘Needed Me.’ His cover version of the song is equally a raunchy, blunt and explicit reply to Rihanna’s seeming disregard, unrequited love and utterly detached emotions towards a perceived disillusioned lover who obsessively confused sex for love. And it is without mincing words a hard-edged and impressive response from a seasoned lyricist who won’t let the ‘good girl gone bad’ get away with her ‘untamed savagery’ against the apparent poor dude ensnared by her swankiness and infectious charm.

“Now you wanna act like you played me baby, I think it’s safe to say you may be crazy” that’s a line disputing Rihanna’s claims as T-Rex in his rap response simply puts himself in the privileged position of the man whom Rihanna is not toying with but actually in love with like crazy. Exuding confidence of being the man in charge whom Rihanna has being desperately seeking to get along with after a presumed one-night stand.

I suggest you appreciate and focus more on T-Rex’s superlative lyricism and superimposing finesse on the Microphone.

T-REX_DAH WORDSMITH_ALL A DREAM

There’s a cliché in the Hip Hop world that says “too many Mics but few Emcees thrive in the game.” The Nigerian Hip Hop scene is indeed replete with so many ‘characters’ all struggling for a spot in the limelight. Away from all the razzmatazz the commercially inclined music industry seeks to obfuscate listeners with ‘dumb it down’ contents of music promoted and patronized by fans but, there’s need for true lovers of the art of emceeing to re-establish contact with the fast eroding essence of what Hip hop represents in its truest form; the revival of creativity and consciousness has now become a burden only few true disciples of hip hop such as T-Rex are willing to shoulder.

T-Rex unbeknown to many fans of Hip Hop has been a veteran who has remained faithful to underground hip hop scene all through the years unlike most of his contemporaries who are well known today he has kept a relatively low profile but definitely his skills remain quite extraordinary without diminishing in lyrical proficiency. ‘Dah Wordsmith’ is another moniker of this Hip Hop lyricist that has refused to let his ‘dreams’ of registering his name in Hip Hops’ hall of fame fade out.

Call this the return of T-Rex from a long hiatus your assertion wouldn’t be denied same as calling him one of the finest Emcees Naija is blessed with isn’t an overrated statement. This great artiste has put out a great song called “All a dream” produced by EX-O, the song is definitely a ‘crowd pleaser’ but it’s also a classic that allows fans dive into the mind of the lyrical genius himself as he talks about his dreams from where his passion for rap began at an early age of six. Listening to Dah Wordsmith you can tell his style of delivery is superb and distinct. His lyricism is original his Mic- flow prowess is effortless to say the least. His influences include Craig Mack, The Notorious B.I.G, Nas and Big L.

This song ‘ALL A DREAM’ as earlier stated is produced by EX-O it contains voice samples of I have a dream speech by Martin Luther King Jnr and also a voice cut from Biggie smalls epic song Juicy.

Without further ado “All a dream” is a classic song worth downloading and listening to guaranteed to keep your head nodding nonstop.

ONE PASSION_CROC-CITY feat. CATCH & THERAPY

Kaduna State is Nigeria’s centre of learning for those in the academia on the other side specifically for lovers of Hip Hop Music; Kaduna A.K.A Croc-City is undoubtedly Nigeria’s capital of Hip Hop. With legendary pioneers of the craft of Emceeing in Nigeria like the likes of Mode Nine, Terry Tha Rapman, Six-Foot Plus, OD, GrandSun and a host of other Nigerian contemporary Rap Artiste who boast of their roots from KD or affiliation with the City when they began their careers, Croc City has earned itself an enviable reputation for churning out great hip hop acts that live up to the tenets of true Hip hop which elevates and promotes knowledge, creativity and the spread of consciousness over the prevalent dumb it down trash lyrics other cats are known to dish out from other competing cities within Nigeria.

Kaduna State, Croc City as it is fondly called is a pseudonym derived from a tale or myth of the City’s legendary habitat for crocodiles. Emcee’s who represent Croc-City are definitely reptilians and cold-blooded on the Mic... You wouldn’t wanna test their skills if you ain’t well versed and thoroughly bred in the art.

When a group of Kaduna’s finest and fast rising Hip Hop acts decide to team up on a song for the City that has made them who they are, be reassured the song is worth a download and worth putting on replay if you truly love Hip Hop in its purest form.  The Song “Croc-City” is a song put together by One Passion featuring Croc-City’s best kept secret CATCH (creative Activists Touching Creation Honestly) and Therapy. One Passion is a rap duo made up of KUL and Prez. They are both Kaduna Based Rappers who have been spearheading the revival of underground and conscious rap movements alongside CATCH in the Southern part of the City known as Angwan Romi.

The song CROC CITY was inspired by their love for Kaduna, its uniqueness, its daunting challenges that keeps every go-getter on his toes to struggle and conquer, the boisterous nature of its resilient inhabitants and the creative genius of like minds like One Passion, CATCH and Therapy who decided to express themselves in the best way they feel through an art form which is Hip Hop that has become a voice for the youths and tool for social impartation and edutainment. Now here’s a classic rap song that most ardent fans of hip hop would attest is quite rare to find domineering the airwaves coz the shady industry doesn't celebrate the finest of creativity except the watered down contents of mediocrity but many thanks to MistaBooks who enlisted a top-notch veteran lyricist Mode Nine to deliver a hip hop joint produced by Pheroshuwz that upsets the status-quo. On this track, Pherowshuz reaffirms his sampling finesse in creating classic hip hop beats.

THE BOX - SIXTHSENZE x MELANIN x BBK

‘The box’ is a song originally done by MI Abaga but here’s certainly an equally dope version remixed by the trio of Croc Cities finest! Talking about Sixthsenze, Melanin and BBK.

This very remix of 'the Box' takes an entirely new dimension; Six, Melanin and BBk took it further and you would testify after listening to them, they never fell short of the standard M.I had set. Their verses are narrative of their individual experiences in the music industry that tends to bend the will of most upcoming artistes.

Showcasing mastery of their craft, every line they spit is concise, saying they killed the track is simply an understatement. SixthSenze gave a lucid diagnose of what the Box is, from his intro to his opening verse; he vehemently stressed the not boding well ways of the industry, how many music Artistes jettison their love of the art and passion in pursuit of fortune and fame.

being lyrically blunt, SixthSenze reiterated the need for artistes to be creatively free from the influence of stifling record labels, music promoters and exploitative marketers.
Originality in expressing one’s creative proclivity should remain at the core of every artiste heart. His/her views need to be expressed without following the dictates of the mainstream music industry.

Sixthsenze murdered it while Melanin embalmed the cadaver with his deep word play as he highlights how the box has caged artistes. BBk on the last verse buried the track as he lyrically dissected the ills of fame in the box and what it takes to make it out of the box!

The trio of Croc City’s finest Emcee’s presented the subject matter as it matters in its purest form without watering it down.

To be more convinced please kindly download, listen and share the song.

MODE NINE - MY COUNTRY

John Lennon once said music should reflect the state that the society is in.  The poets, musicians and artists are of the age - not only do they lead the age on, but they also reflect that age."
Mode Nine is undeniably a force to reckon with in the World Music Industry at large, a veteran Nigerian Emcee who has over the years remained relevant with his unassailable track record as a conscious lyricist who has never deviated from his true essence and call.

With the current economic challenges beleaguering our country, Mode Nine once again takes the lead in making a conscious song that brings to the fore the sufferings of his people.

Most Nigerians already know the perennial problems we encounter but how many contemporary Artistes today have the guts to speak out or have being moved by the prevailing circumstances to bare their minds frankly and incisively through the music they create? Music undeniably has proven to be a weapon that can trigger change, inspire and educate listeners about certain things that affect their well- being not just the satisfaction derived from its melody that fits only for entertainment.

Without letting the cat out of the bag, I suggest you download this remarkable song.
Listen to what this leader Mode Nine has to say. the song is titled “My Country” ain’t that patriotic? Mode Nine is definitely Nigerian’s Hip Hop Ambassador. all hail the legendary Mode Nine for always repping Naija like no other.
