Laice A.K.A. Arewa Ratty is a fast rising hip hop Artiste based in Kaduna State, Northwest of Nigeria. He Raps in Hausa language which is the most widely spoken language across northern Nigeria and the whole of the West African region. The growing emergence of indigenous Rappers in Hausa Language has birthed a new movement across Northern Nigeria with notable acts like Classiq, BOC Madaki, Kheengs and a host of other upcoming acts leading the trail but Laice is cut from a different cloth.

The 20 year old Rapper is the next best thing to come out from the Northern region as far as the budding indigenous rap genre of Hausa hip hop is known. Lumumba Jatau A.K.A. Sixthsenze is one of the duo of  CATCH an underground hip hop group based in Kaduna, (Croc city), Nigeria. The rap group has to its credit a mixtape “Raw Shit Theory” which was released in 2014 followed by some series of singles afterwards currently, the group is temporary on hiatus from working on another mixtape project or album but the duo have been working on their individual music projects separately as evidenced with this new single released by Sixthsenze titled “Friends.”

Prior to the release of this inspiring single by Sixthsenze, the poet and lyricists gave his fans a peep into his mind state about the song ‘Friends’ in a social media post on facebook about the impending release of the song he said: “Take whatever you can from life now; cause when life start taking from you, it takes away everything even your last breath... Friends are crucial personalities to deal with as they form an intricate part of our lives.”
