released his long awaited cover for Rihanna’s hit song ‘Needed Me.’ His cover
version of the song is equally a raunchy, blunt and explicit reply to Rihanna’s
seeming disregard, unrequited love and utterly detached emotions towards a
perceived disillusioned lover who obsessively confused sex for love. And it is without
mincing words a hard-edged and impressive response from a seasoned lyricist who
won’t let the ‘good girl gone bad’ get away with her ‘untamed savagery’ against
the apparent poor dude ensnared by her swankiness and infectious charm.
“Now
you wanna act like you played me baby, I think it’s safe to say you may be
crazy” that’s a line disputing Rihanna’s claims as T-Rex in his rap response simply
puts himself in the privileged position of the man whom Rihanna is not toying
with but actually in love with like crazy. Exuding confidence of being the man
in charge whom Rihanna has being desperately seeking to get along with after a
presumed one-night stand.
